Hi there!

I am honored that you have found yourself looking at this little section, most likely because you find yourself in need of some beauty services, and you are curious about what kind of person you could potentially find yourself working with.

It is admittedly hard for me to talk about myself, especially in the light of feeling like I am ‘selling’ myself. I have made a career at being behind-the-scenes and tend to shy away from the limelight. I am not like my youngest son who goes out for all the lead parts each year for his class play. You’ll find me back stage doing costumes and quickly drawn-on beards for giggly grade schoolers. I am also not like my eldest son who most often can be found deep in the silence of his own thoughts, studiously working away on some new, wild invention. Unlike his serene and somewhat shy presence, I bring a bubbling energy, full of enthusiasm and a general quirkiness that one can only hope is enduring.

As humans we all have our unique qualities, strengths and weaknesses. Moments of triumph countered by the bitter experiences that leave us hopefully stiving for better personal growth and outcomes.

So what makes me tick? Why do I specialize in natural hair and makeup artistry? My goodness, why do I do hundreds of weddings when it quite honestly is an incredibly difficult career path to chose? Why do I work 14 hour days on commercial sets? Travel here and there and all that jazz? Is it for the money? The glory? Flexibility? Ha! Hardly.

Basically more then loving what I do, I just just really love people. And I especially love helping a woman feel like the most beautiful version of herself. Not some overly glamorized doll that is trying to be someone else. I want to help her find her confidence as she looks into the mirror and see’s SHE IS BEAUTIFUL. I want her to feel it. To know it. To embrace it.

I also really like efficiency, a general sense of order (gosh I love charts and lists and schedules), living with integrity, honor and practicing a genuine love for those I am blessed to encounter on a daily basis. Being a career stylist gives me the opportunity to serve in a really unique and challenging dynamic that I have yet to find in another career path.

So there’s just a bit of what I strive for with each client.
